Job summary

Waters Hardware is seeking a friendly sales associate to provide outstanding customer service and assist customers in finding merchandise. You will maintain a clean, inviting sales floor, handle promotions, and help with add-on sales to support store goals.

Responsibilities include stocking, merchandising, assisting with special orders, loading products for customers, and ensuring shop safety. A helpful, team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills and a professional attitude.
• Working knowledge of store products with willingness to continue learning.
• Organized, self-starter who solves problems independently.
• Knowledge of effective sales methods and techniques.
• Experience with POS systems and basic MS Word/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in person and on the phone, assist with questions and add-on sales.
• Maintain a clean, inviting sales floor and perform housekeeping tasks.
• Notify customers of promotions and new products.
• Assist loading products into customers' vehicles as needed.
• Merchandise according to planograms and maintain signage.
• Restock shelves and participate in regular stock inventory.
• Face products at start/end of shift and throughout the day.
• Support store staff with other tasks as needed.
• Be vigilant about shoplifting and follow store policy.
• Attend staff meetings and adhere to store policies and safety standards.
• Cut keys for customers when required.
