Company Wrench LTD is seeking a Service Writer to be the primary contact for our service customers. You will manage work orders from opening through completion, gather details, prepare quotes, and obtain approvals and deposits.

You will coordinate with parts and shop staff to schedule technicians, track status, and ensure documentation is accurate. A strong mechanical background and solid computer skills are valued.

Formación

• A High School Diploma with experience in a service writer role or as a mechanic.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems and service databases.
• Mechanical background is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Answers phones as instructed per the service script and acts as liaison between service and customer.
• Gathers equipment information, documents symptoms and required repairs, and checks maintenance records.
• Opens and updates work orders with location, contact person, and details; obtains approvals by email or fax.
• Prepares estimates with parts quotes and labor time data for review by the service manager.
• Obtains customer approvals and payment details (P.O. numbers or credit cards) for deposits.
• Coordinates with parts and shop to order parts and assign mechanics to work orders.
• Follows up on stalled or aging work orders and ensures proper documentation and communication.
