Job summary

Southport Truck Group is seeking a Service Advisor in Tampa, FL to deliver a professional, customer-focused service experience from write-up through repair completion.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with experience in automotive or commercial truck service and a high school diploma. You will open and document repair orders, provide estimates, and coordinate with technicians and parts staff to ensure timely repairs.

• Previous customer service, automotive, or commercial truck service experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
• Ability to work effectively with customers, technicians, Parts personnel, and other departments.
• Computer literate with the willingness to learn software programs utilized by the Company.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the service and repair process.
• Open repair orders and document customer concerns, requested services, and vehicle information.
• Review inspection findings and repair recommendations with customers and provide estimates for labor and parts.
• Obtain customer authorization before repairs or additional work are performed.
• Provide timely updates regarding repair status, changes in scope, costs, and anticipated completion.
• Coordinate with technicians, Parts personnel, and Service leadership to support timely repairs.
• Monitor open repair orders and ensure required documentation and authorizations are complete and accurate.
• Explain completed repairs and associated charges to customers and address questions professionally.
• Maintain accurate customer and vehicle information within dealership systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
