Job summary

Havertys Furniture is seeking an Office Assistant to join our store team. You will handle customer sales, payments, phones, and schedule deliveries while focusing on outstanding customer service, integrity, quality, and teamwork.

Starting pay is $16 per hour with potential advancement. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with store hours, plus weekends and holidays as needed. We offer training, 401K with 4% match, benefits, PTO, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 years of customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and basic banking processes is desirable.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Office 365 preferred.
• Strong math, communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Process customer sales and payments accurately.
• Answer phones and manage store voicemail.
• Prepare and reconcile deposits and balance cash funds.
• Open and close procedures and maintain an organized office area.
• Schedule deliveries and verify orders for pickup or delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist with daily tasks as needed.
