Job summary

Havertys Furniture in Greenville, SC is seeking an Office Assistant to join our retail team. You will support customer sales, handle payments, answer phones and help schedule deliveries in a fast-paced showrooms environment.

Starting pay is $15 per hour with potential increases for experience. You’ll enjoy paid training, daily pay, a 401K with company match, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• 1–3 years of cash handling experience or equivalent.
• General computer skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, and O365 preferred.
• Strong math, communication and customer service skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Balance the cash fund every morning and evening.
• Process customer sales and payments accurately.
• Answer phones and distribute messages; manage store voicemail.
• Prepare and reconcile bank deposits and daily paperwork.
• Schedule deliveries and verify purchase orders for out‑of‑stock items.
