Havertys is seeking a bright, energetic Part Time Office Assistant to join our team. In this role you will support daily customer service and sales activities, handle payments, answer phones, and help schedule deliveries across our stores.

You will thrive in a customer-focused, team-driven environment that values integrity and quality. Starting pay is $16 per hour with the opportunity for more with experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience (preferably in retail).
• 1-3 years of cash handling experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Balance the cash fund every morning and evening.
• Complete daily opening and closing procedure checklists.
• Prepare and reconcile bank deposits.
• Accurately process customer sales and payments.
• Maintain an organized and secure office environment.
• Answer incoming calls, distribute messages, and manage store voicemail.
• Handle customer complaints and follow up on service tickets.
• Review outstanding customer transactions.
• Verify and schedule deliveries to ensure they are ready to be routed.
