Job summary

TOTE Maritime Alaska is seeking an Operations Generalist (Customer Service) to provide clerical support in Anchorage. You will use internal systems to track shipments, handle customer inquiries by phone or email, and generate reports across departments.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. You may work flexible hours and collaborate with carriers and internal teams to ensure accurate delivery schedules and container

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Clerical office experience or training preferred.
• Meet federal training standards within 90 days or as schedule allows.
• Membership in Teamsters Local 959 is required on acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Utilize internal systems (EAM, Cargowise, Mainsail) to track container shipments.
• Engage with customers via phone or email regarding deliveries and pickups.
• Generate reports via internal systems for multiple departments.
• Audit reports, bills of lading, and delivery schedules for accuracy.
• Coordinate container logistics by communicating with carriers.
• Record movement of containers and trailers entering/exiting the Anchorage terminal.
• Reference quotes for Northbound/Southbound container movements.
• Data entry using internal systems or Microsoft Excel.
• Build positive, collaborative relationships with internal staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
