Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in running a customer-focused store. You will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, complete paperwork, and prepare deposits while protecting company assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to perform cash register functions and generate reports.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling and training of employees.
• Manage merchandising, stock, planograms, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and protect company assets.
