Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store focused on customers. You will assist with supervision, merchandise presentation, deposits, and cashiering while protecting assets and reducing losses.

You will participate in scheduling, training, safety meetings, and ensure compliance with policies. The role involves stocking, cashier duties, and supporting the Store Manager to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service leadership by greeting customers and operating the register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings for employees.
• Prepare merchandise, receive shipments, stock, rotate, and build displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Assist with planograms and ensure product presentation meets standards.
• Maintain store financial integrity with cashier accountability and deposits.
