Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily operations and maintain a customer-first focus. You will oversee staff, assist with merchandising, deposits, and cash handling while ensuring policy compliance.

You will open/close the store, train employees, manage inventory and planograms, and support the Store Manager in achieving profitability and loss prevention goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to read and interpret store procedures and safety guidelines.
• Basic math and cash handling skills are required.

Responsabilités

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, providing training, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring policy compliance.
• Follow work processes to manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking, and building displays.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels and control shrink.
