Job summary

NewBalance is hiring Retail Sale Associates in Cypress, TX to ensure smooth store operations and deliver exemplary service. You will educate customers on product features, use effective selling techniques, and positively represent the NewBalance brand throughout the transaction process.

Greet customers, assess needs, close sales, and keep the floor organized and correctly labeled. The role requires flexible weekends/holidays and physical ability for lifting and standing long hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• People-person with strong customer-service and verbal communication skills.
• Past retail experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cash register functions.
• Ability to perform basic math quickly.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift 4lb. frequently; lift up to 8lb. occasionally; kneel or squat frequently; move boxes up to 50lb. (with assistance if necessary); stand for extended periods; climb ladders or stairs frequently.
• Location: Cypress,TX (Retail‑only).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and make initial contact.
• Understand customer needs and educate them on product features and benefits.
• Solve any customer problems or answer questions.
• Transact the sale using suggestive selling, multiple selling, and effective closing.
• Measure and fit customers with appropriate NewBalance products.
• Inform customers about current promotions.
• Keep the floor neat, organized, and well stocked.
• Ensure items are labeled and price‑marked correctly.
• Protect products by greeting customers, attaching/detaching security tags, monitoring merchandise, and reporting shrinkage or security violations.
• Follow safety regulations, including proper lifting procedures and reporting accidents or near‑misses.
