Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to maintain a clean, customer-focused store. Under the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, merchandise, paperwork, and deposits while performing stocking and cashier duties to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will assist with scheduling, training, safety, and adherence to company policies, while ensuring proper planograms and inventory controls. This full-time role supports store operations across shift coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate a cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training of employees.
• Follow processes to manage merchandise, restocking and displays.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and controls.
• Help implement planograms and store presentation.
• Assist with cashier accountability, deposits, and refunds approvals.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
