Job summary

Main Street Auto in Temple, TX is seeking a Service Advisor to be the primary contact for customers, manage vehicle maintenance and repairs, and deliver a positive experience.

You will greet customers, schedule service, prepare estimates, create repair orders, and coordinate with technicians to ensure timely work; high communication and organizational skills required.

Previous service advisor experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent; email [e-mail] for questions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional automotive education or certification is a plus).
• Proven experience as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry or a related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and team members.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Sound technical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with automotive software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers: greet, listen to concerns, document them, and communicate with service technicians.
• Schedule and confirm service appointments, gather vehicle history, symptoms, and requested services; advise on needed repairs based on guidelines.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for parts, labor, and services; obtain customer approval; create and manage repair orders; maintain records.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
