Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a customer-focused team member to greet customers, assist with purchases, and ensure a safe, welcoming store environment. You will process transactions, operate the POS system, and follow all policies related to cash handling, restricted items, and promotions.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of basic math including counting, addition, and subtraction.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, cards, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Adhere to cash-handling limits and work to prevent loss.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
