Job summary

Hexion in Columbus, OH is seeking a Customer Service Account Specialist to own the order-related activities and strengthen customer loyalty by managing the order process end-to-end.

You will collaborate across departments, enter new orders, coordinate with plants for on-time shipments, and maintain accurate customer data while ensuring compliance with policies and proactive communication with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be fluent in the English Language.
• Other languages (Italian, French or Spanish) are a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, international environment.
• Must possess strong organizational skills & detail orientation.
• Customer oriented mindset.
• Ability to work well with others to accomplish goals.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as prime contact for order related activities.
• Build and maintain business relationships with customers through multiple channels.
• Input new order requests and manage modifications/cancellations for orders.
• Coordinate with plants to support on-time order shipment and resolve order issues.
• Maintain accurate customer addresses, contacts, and requirements.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and delegated authority.
• Communicate proactively with customers on requirements and order status.
• Cross-train and provide backup for other team associates.
• Manage customer invoice process as needed.
• Participate in internal and external order management audits.
