Job summary

Michaels Stores in Tukwila, WA is seeking a Store Team Member to assist customers, perform checkout duties, and support store operations. You will help customers locate products, explain rewards and credit programs, and participate in omnichannel processes like BOPIS/SFS while keeping the store well-merchandised.

The role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy boxes, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with store technologies and POS systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; perform cash handling to standards
• Encourage enrollment in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards
• Educate customers about VOC surveys
• Assist with Buy Online Pick Up In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
• Maintain store appearance and stock; complete returns and go-backs
• Support Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
• Assist shrink and safety programs
• Follow SOPs and company policies; project a professional image
• Cross-train in Custom Framing selling and production
