Job summary

Food Lion in Sanford, NC is hiring a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service, greet customers by name when possible, and support the Customer Service Manager in maintaining front end standards.

You will handle cashier duties, operate the MVP savings center kiosk, keep the front end neat, and assist during surge plans while upholding the dress code and safety guidelines to ensure an excellent shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center duties.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and uses his or her name whenever possible.
• Maintain knowledge of front end procedures including cash reports, register checkups, deposits and related services.
• Ensure work station and front end area of the store has a neat and clean presentation.
• Report any register malfunction to the Customer Service Manager.
• Maintain alertness and call for assistance when needed to service customers per service standards.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge when on duty.
• Adhere to all company guidelines and dress code.
