Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate in Durham, NC. You will provide fast, friendly service, greet customers, and support front-end operations including cash handling and kiosk functionality.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service to customers and engage them positively.
• Greet customers by name when possible and minimize interruptions.
• Limit personal conversations when customers are present.
• Accurately complete store office tasks and report cash variances to supervisor.
• Know office procedures: cash reports, deposits, Western Union, money orders, Coinstar.
• Keep front-end area neat and presentable at all times.
• Be proficient with register functions and front-end accounting services.
• Report register malfunctions to supervisor or act on service calls as needed.
• Ensure MVP savings center KIOSK is stocked and functional.
• Support as a sales associate or customer lead during peak times.
• Stay alert and seek help to assist customers per standards.
• Be courteous and helpful to coworkers.
• Wear proper Food Lion uniform and name badge with a neat appearance.
• Follow all company policies and guidelines.
• Observe and address any unsafe conditions.
• Complete computer-based training and training aids.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
