Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store leadership professional to guide day-to-day operations, mentor team members, and drive customer service excellence. You will oversee staffing, training, and performance, while meeting sales goals and maintaining store standards across departments.

The role emphasizes developing talent, managing scheduling and ensuring a safe, welcoming shopping environment for customers. Prior retail leadership is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas and customer service experience helpful.
• Ability to communicate clear direction and resolve conflicts.
• Experience analyzing financial information and teaching suggestive selling.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning and develop career paths for team members.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations on discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining department shrink.
• Mentor team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Ensure team is trained and focused on Meijer's standards and safe operations.
• Spend majority of time in-store assisting customers and team members.

Education

High school diploma or its equivalent

2-3 years of related retail experience

One year of management experience
