Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can step into lead capacity when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is absent. You will help set and maintain plan-o-grams, provide exemplary customer service, and maximize profitability while protecting assets.

Daily duties include unloading trucks, stocking and facing merchandise, operating the cash register, giving change, and assisting customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the prescribed process for the store.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves and build merchandise displays.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment and make change.
• Greet customers as they enter the store and assist in locating merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized store and facilitate a safe environment.
• Open and/or close the store under direction of the Area Manager and supervise in the absence of store leadership.
