Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker with lead capabilities to support store operations and customer service. You will unload deliveries, stock, rotate items, and help maintain plan-o-grams while delivering exceptional service.

In this role, you will operate the cash register, interact with customers, and assist in maintaining a secure, well-organized store environment. The position supports a store team with responsibilities aligned to profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and follow the store's receiving process.
• Stock merchandise, rotate and face shelves, and build displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Greet customers and locate merchandise.
• Operate cash register and total purchases, bag items, and give change.
• Maintain a clean, organized store and safe environment.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Open and/or close the store under direction of Area Manager.
