Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker in a lead role when the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager is unavailable. You will help set and maintain plan-o-grams, provide exemplary customer service, and perform duties to maximize profitability and teamwork while protecting assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, assisting customers, keeping the front end clean, and supporting store operations. This is a full-time on-site role with Dollar General.

Qualifications

• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Able to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety policies and practices.
• Strong interpersonal and written/spoken communication skills.
• Able to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the store's prescribed process.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes following procedures.
• Stock, rotate, face shelves, and build displays; restock returned merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories as directed by the Store Manager.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance; help customers locate merchandise.
