Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to act in a lead capacity in the absence of Store Manager. You will assist in plan-o-gram maintenance and provide excellent customer service while protecting assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, operating the register, handling payments, and ensuring a clean, organized store environment. Relocation exists only as directed by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle cash accurately.
• Familiarity with plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidelines.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate a cash register and scanners.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store procedures.
• Stock merchandise and maintain displays.
• Operate cash register and total purchases.
• Greet customers and assist locating merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the store.
• Open and close procedures as directed.
