Job summary

Albertsons Companies is seeking a Service Operations Assistant to support the Service Operations Manager in leading front-end operations, customer service, Drive Up & Go fulfillment, and daily store execution.

You will help ensure exceptional service, efficient checkout operations, labor productivity, and policy compliance while serving on the store leadership team and assuming leadership when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior retail, customer service, or grocery experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Promote a customer-first culture and ensure outstanding service.
• Assist in resolving customer concerns and service recovery.
• Monitor customer service levels and store experience.
• Ensure front-end areas are clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Oversee cashiering, courtesy clerk, self-checkout, and service desks.
• Support efficient customer flow and minimize wait times.
• Monitor front-end productivity and service performance.
• Assist in promotions and loyalty program execution.
• Lead and coach front-end and service associates.
• Train and onboard new employees and reinforce policies.
• Support labor deployment, scheduling, and event readiness.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and incident reporting.
