Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in California is seeking a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help customers locate products, and ensure a fast checkout experience. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred and 16+ years old is required.

You will unload trucks, stock merchandise, maintain planograms, and support store recovery to keep shelves in-stock. The role requires standing, bending, and lifting with flexibility for nights, weekends and early mornings.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred
• Must be at least 16 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; handle cash to standards
• Promote the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll customers
• Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes
• Maintain merchandise recovery and in‑stock store condition; execute returns/go backs
• Support shrink and safety programs; follow SOPs and company policies
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
