Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greeting, engaging and assisting customers in-store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand and operate the POS system and handle various tenders per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling, loss prevention and restricted item guidelines (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Maintain food safety regulations and support safety programs.
• Provide helpful product information and create a welcoming environment.
