Job summary

Kroger in Charleston, WV seeks a friendly Cashier/Checker to greet customers, process transactions, and maintain a safe, clean environment. You will work with a POS system, handle various payment forms, and ensure compliance with sale restrictions and loss-prevention policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders such as cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, coupons per policy.
• Adhere to company cash-handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
