Job summary

Kroger Mount Pleasant, WI is hiring a Cashier/Checker to create an outstanding customer experience through friendly service and efficient transactions in a fast-paced, on-site store. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and follow store policies while using loyalty programs and promotions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers at the checkout
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, cards, and loyalty offers
• Adhere to cash handling limits and prevent loss
• Comply with rules on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards, and coupons
• Maintain awareness of ads and promotions and food safety guidelines
• Support safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
