Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker at our Atoka, TN location to greet customers, process transactions, and keep the store safe and welcoming. You will handle various tender types and follow policies on discounts, promotions and restricted items.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction) required.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in a visible manner.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the checkout.
• Operate the POS system and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, coupons) per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow store policies for stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; ensure food safety regulations are followed.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and address unsafe conditions with management.
• Assist customers and colleagues with product questions and store guidance.
