Job summary

Kroger is seeking a friendly cashier/checker to greet customers, assist with purchases and process transactions at the cordova store location. You will operate the POS system, handle multiple tender types, and follow loss prevention and safety guidelines to ensure a smooth checkout experience.

Responsibilities include staying updated on promotions, coupon policies, and restricted-item guidelines while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand POS systems and handle tenders (cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons).
• Follow company policies on cash handling, loss prevention and restricted items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; enforce food safety guidelines.
