Job summary

Kroger Covington is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker to greet and assist customers, process transactions quickly and accurately, and help create an outstanding shopping experience every day.

In this on-site role, you will operate the POS system, handle cash, checks, and cards, follow loss-prevention guidelines, keep the store clean and safe, and support teammates while delivering great service. Part-time opportunities and benefits are available to eligible associates.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Must have or be willing to learn POS operations and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle various tenders (cash, checks, credit, debit, etc.).
• Follow loss prevention guidelines and adhere to cash-handling policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment.
