Job summary

Kroger in Murfreesboro, TN (On-site) is hiring a Cashier/Checker to create an outstanding customer experience. You will greet, engage and assist customers, process transactions quickly and accurately, and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages shoppers to return.

You will work with the Point of Sale system, handle cash, checks, credit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers, follow company policies, and stay current with ads while supporting loss prevention and food safety

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math.
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Handle cash, checks, credit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and other tender types per policy.
• Adhere to cash limits, loss prevention, and safety guidelines.
• Explain products and promotions to customers.
