Responsibilities include handling POS transactions, managing various tender types, and staying updated on current ads and promotions. This role emphasizes honesty, safety, and customer-centric service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greeting, engaging and assisting customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, Rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons).
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs)
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs and report hazards to management.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
