You should be comfortable handling multiple tender types, maintaining cleanliness and safety, and assisting shoppers with product questions while following company standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Visible, greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle multiple tender types.
• Follow cash-handling limits and loss-prevention guidelines.
• Adhere to rules on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow coupon/postage policies.
• Stay current with ads and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions or injuries.
• Inspect equipment and request repairs as needed.
• Provide friendly product information to customers throughout the store.
