Job summary

Laundry Capital is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to join our Worcester, MA team. This in-person role reports to a Store Manager and involves helping customers with machines, purchases, and wash-and-fold services while maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

Responsibilities include operating the register, stocking items, and promptly reporting maintenance or safety issues. Prior customer service or retail experience is preferred, with flexible scheduling including overnight

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for up to 8+ hours per shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Must communicate with all customers and associates in a professional manner.
• Must work well with others and remain calm in stressful situations.
• Previous customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Ability to resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely, professional manner.
• Ability to perform tasks as assigned by management.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overnight hours.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with laundry card use, machine selection and operation, retail purchases, and wash-and-fold orders, and addressing any other questions or concerns.
• Accurately operating the register or point-of-sale system.
• Maintaining thorough knowledge of products sold and their uses, and encouraging customers to purchase additional items.
• Ensuring retail items are neatly stocked at all times and communicating promptly with management when inventory or janitorial supplies run low.
• Using log books to report building or equipment maintenance issues, and informing a supervisor of any unsafe situations during a shift.
