Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. seeks a Customer Care Representative to provide outstanding service to customers via inbound calls. You will resolve inquiries, meet call metrics, and identify sales opportunities while using CRM tools and scripts.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of customer service or inside sales experience, a high school diploma or GED, and be legally eligible to work in the US. This on-site role offers career growth within the Casella organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2–4 years in customer service or inside sales preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment and be legally eligible to work in the US.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) expected.
• Advanced degree or relevant sales certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer or place calls to learn customer needs and address issues.
• Explain solutions clearly and ensure customers feel supported and valued.
• Actively listen, clarify information, and de-escalate when needed.
• Build rapport with customers and teammates to foster trust and reliability.
• Use appropriate tools and scripts to address topics and meet call metrics.
• Assist with sales recommendations where appropriate to meet customer needs.
• Participate in training to expand knowledge of products and services.
