Job summary

Pratt Industries – San Antonio is seeking a Customer Service Representative to act as the primary contact for customers, processing orders, and handling inquiries and complaints. You will maintain customer records and collaborate with internal departments to fulfill needs and support sales efforts.

You will work in a manufacturing setting, with emphasis on accuracy, detail, and proactive communication to ensure excellent customer service and ongoing customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Data-entry experience is preferred.
• Experience in the corrugated box industry preferred.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders directly from customers or sales representatives.
• Build specs in ERP Systems.
• Place orders on a timely basis for purchases of materials and supplies to be used in production.
• Process billing accurately and efficiently.
• Handle customer complaints and questions, following up with appropriate internal personnel as required.
• Maintain comprehensive customer files.
• Process new items and new purchase orders.
• Coordinate accounting credits.
• Record and distribute customer order changes.
• Confirm orders with customers.
• Assist sales personnel as appropriate and assist in generating supplemental sales.
• Track warehouse items to ensure availability and that agreed-upon minimum/maximum levels are followed.
• Analyze monthly usages and re-stocking needs per customer.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
