Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Customer Service representative to assist customers with order entries and inquiries regarding products and services. The CSR will ensure timely, accurate responses and act as a reliable liaison with customers, vendors, and coworkers.

The role involves inputting orders and credits, handling invoicing details, and guiding customers through our online ordering portal while attending training sessions and meetings.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred, call center or related area helpful.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
• Professional communication with customers, vendors, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Input customer orders.
• Input customer credits.
• Input order and invoicing information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist customers with orders and problems. Contact vendors and requests samples for customers.
• Provide informative and professional assistance when working with the public, customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Perform administrative responsibilities such as checking faxes, emails, and EDI daily.
• Attends training and Customer Service meetings.
• Assists customers in finding alternative or new products when original request is unavailable.
• Walk customers through our online order portal after pre-orders and special orders.
• Verify orders and customer quantities by running reports. Logs customer interactions and transactions.
• Performs other duties as assigned
