Job summary

Michaels MACHESNEY PARK, IL seeks a Store Lead to coach a team of framers and drive custom framing sales. You will assist customers in creating framing solutions and manage workload with the Store Manager to deliver on-time projects.

Responsibilities include leading SOP adherence, coaching selling behaviors, achieving KPIs, and participating in hiring, training, and performance activities. This role involves working nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Experience leading a sales team preferred.
• Previous custom framing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload with the Store Manager.
• Achieve KPIs and manage the framing team to achieve role KPIs.
• Review sales and production workload and build plans and sales floor time for networking.
• Manage inventory processes and shrink/safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Interview, onboard, coach, observe and train new Team Members; support Talent Development and Performance Mgmt. activities.
• Partner with MODs on framing expectations; promote company vision and values.
• Participate in truck unload and stocking processes; ensure SOPs and safety.
