Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in DeKalb, IL is seeking an experienced Lead Framer/Store Team Lead to guide a framing team in delivering high-quality, on-time framing solutions. You will focus on building strong customer relationships and driving custom framing sales.

You will coach and develop staff, manage inventory and safety programs, and partner with the Store Manager to meet KPIs. This role requires flexibility for nights/weekends in a public retail setting.

Qualifications

• Lead and coach a team to build customer relationships and framing solutions.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Manage inventory and shrink/safety programs as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs; ensure store policy compliance.
• Lead framing team to deliver high-quality custom framing on time.
• Review sales and production workload; plan staffing and floor time for networking.
• Achieve KPI targets and manage the framing team’s KPI performance.
• Participate in interviewing, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of team members.
• Ensure a safe environment and adherence to safety procedures.
