Job summary

Michaels in White Marsh, MD is seeking a Store Lead to guide a framing team, drive custom framing sales, and partner with customers to create memorable framing solutions.

You will coach team members, manage operations, uphold SOPs, handle inventory and safety programs, and support interviewing and onboarding with a focus on customer service. This role requires nights, weekends, and early hours with strong leadership to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
• Retail management experience.
• Experience leading a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs; ensure policies and standards are followed.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload with Store Manager.
• Achieve KPIs and manage the framing team to meet their KPI targets.
• Review sales and production workload and build plans for the sales floor.
• Manage inventory and shrink/safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Participate in interviewing, onboarding, coaching, and training of new team members; support Talent Development and Performance Mgmt activities.
• Partner with MODs on framing and team expectations.
• Promote a positive image and uphold company values.
• Participate in truck unload and stocking processes; follow SOPs and safety rules.
• Acknowledge customers, locate products, and provide solutions; assist with Omni channel processes.
