Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking a Store Department Manager in Machesney Park, IL to lead a team of framers and foster strong customer relationships by delivering high-quality custom framing solutions. You will drive sales, manage inventory and participate in staffing and training initiatives.

Ideal candidates have retail management experience and a background in leading sales teams, with the ability to guide a framing team to meet KPI targets and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance and store standards.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead high-quality framing solutions delivery to customers by planning workload with the Store Manager.
• Achieve KPIs and manage the framing team to meet role KPIs.
• Review sales and production workload and plan sales floor time for networking.
• Manage inventory, shrink and safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Participate in interviewing, onboarding, coaching and training of new team members.
