Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Oviedo, FL is seeking a Store Lead to guide a framing team and build strong customer relationships while delivering custom framing solutions.

You will partner with the Store Manager to manage SOP adherence, coaching, inventory, and safety programs, while driving sales and providing memorable framing service on nights, weekends and early mornings.

This role requires hands-on leadership and a commitment to the company values.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Prior custom framing experience preferred.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Experience leading a sales team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs; ensure compliance to laws and standards.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions to customers on time by planning workload with the Store Manager.
• Achieve KPIs and manage framing team KPI targets.
• Review sales and production workload and plan staffing and floor time.
• Manage inventory, shrink, and safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching and training of new team members.
