Job summary

Qualifications

• Five years of relevant janitorial management experience.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with customers, managers, and coworkers.
• Adequate trade knowledge to estimate labor hours, materials, and visualize project requirements.
• Strong planning, organizational, and decision‑making capabilities.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Commitment to safety and the proper use of equipment and cleaning products.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support custodial team members to ensure high‑quality cleaning execution.
• Evaluate team performance and provide coaching and advancement feedback.
• Provide training and skill development for new hires and existing staff.
• Promote teamwork and maintain a productive work environment.
• Oversee daily operational reporting and client updates.
• Manage work assignments and shifts, adapting to changing needs.
• Perform cleaning duties when needed to support operations.
• Mix and apply detergents and cleaning solutions per specs.
• Operate buffers, vacuums, and custodial equipment.
• Monitor safety and report hazards promptly.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for staff and clients.
• Handle scheduling, inventory, and documentation.
• Respond to customer concerns with effective solutions.
• Prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced setting.
