Job summary

Phipps Neighborhoods seeks an Education Content Specialist for COMPASS in the Bronx, NY. The role focuses on selecting, developing, and ensuring high-quality program content across core areas, with coaching support for frontline staff and ongoing professional development.

The Specialist will work with the Site Program Director to align activities with COMPASS standards, use data to diagnose gaps, and support youth engagement and development.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education, Youth Development, or related field is preferred.
• 3–5 years of instructional coaching, curriculum development, or managing educational programs; OST experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to influence and navigate a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee selection, customization, and implementation of curriculum across core content areas.
• Conduct regular observations of educational activities to assess content delivery and engagement.
• Provide coaching and professional development to frontline staff (Group Leaders).
• Design and deliver targeted training sessions during onboarding and program cycles.
• Collaborate with Site Program Director to define shared performance metrics.
