Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement is seeking a Content Specialist to oversee and support COMPASS content implementation for the Queensbridge Community Center Youth program in Long Island City, NY.

The role includes curriculum development, lesson planning, supervising Activity Specialists, Group Leaders, and Youth Workers, and ensuring alignment with DYCD standards and program goals. Data reporting and continuous quality improvements are essential components of the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory/oversight experience.
• Strong knowledge of youth development practices and program design.
• Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design and implementation of program content in required COMPASS areas.
• Develop sequenced lesson plans and curricula with clear goals.
• Provide coaching, supervision, and training to Activity Specialists, Group Leaders, and Youth Workers.
• Conduct program observations and provide feedback for improvement.
• Coordinate and deliver professional development opportunities for staff.
• Monitor activities for quality, consistency and alignment with objectives.
• Support evaluation and reporting by maintaining documentation of content and outcomes.
• Collaborate with leadership to strengthen program design and delivery.
• Maintain accurate data entry for attendance, activities, and outcomes for reporting.
