Job summary

Bags, a Metropolis company, is seeking a Curbside Concierge - Airline Check-in Agent at an airport curbside location in NY. You will check in passengers, tag bags, issue boarding passes, and provide flight information with strong customer service standards.

Shifts are early and include weekends/holidays, outdoors in all weather. Must complete airline compliance training, pass background checks, and be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Early morning shift availability
• At least 6 months experience in a face-to-face guest service position
• Data entry and/or computer experience preferred
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and clients
• Ability to work in outside weather conditions required
• Knowledge of the airline or travel industry preferred
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must successfully pass the pre-employment criminal background screening
• Must pass pre-employment Drug Testing process

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at the desk warmly
• Assist guests with check-in of luggage and verify flight itinerary
• Input guest information for new enrollees
• Process check-in and collect bag fees as required by airlines
• Weigh bags and charge for overweight bags
• Tag luggage with destination tags
• Provide boarding passes and receipts to guests
• Secure luggage after processing
• Maintain a positive, friendly and professional manner
• Organize and stock the concierge desk
• Uphold client guest service guidelines and values
• Handle payments received from guests
• Answer telephones and guest questions
• Manage simple additions
