Job summary

Golden State Foods is seeking a Cup Machine Operator for 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) to run packaging lines, ensure product quality, and maintain cleanliness of equipment. You will load materials, adjust settings for accurate weights, and perform routine changeovers with the team.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to food safety standards, with physical requirements for 12-hour shifts and standing most of the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 months manufacturing or similar experience, or equivalent training.
• Ability to read and follow production documents.
• Basic math for weights, volumes, and distances.
• Strong communication and problem-solving under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Operate 6+ packaging systems (W25-1/2, Cryovac, L24, BIB, 12-up, 6-up fillers).
• Load film carts and rolls, monitor and adjust for continuous operation.
• Select and prepare packaging materials (boxes, labels, date coding).
• Adjust machine settings to maintain target product weights.
• Execute standard changeovers with the team to limit downtime.
• Perform minor mechanical troubleshooting independently.
• Document production data (logs, downtime, metal detection results).
• Clean, rinse, sanitize equipment using COP and CIP methods.
• Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout; identify emergencies.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
