Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Cook II for Food Services on a part-time daytime shift. You will produce and prepare food for cafeteria, catering, chef stations, and patient tray line/room service programs in a fast-paced environment, following menus, recipes and portions to uphold quality and brand standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining food safety, proper labeling, FIFO rotation, operating kitchen equipment, mentoring other staff, and providing relief for other cook positions as needed;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year Culinary Degree preferred.
• Two years of relevant kitchen experience.
• Must obtain ServeSafe or local Health Department certificate within 9 months.
• Must complete Rouxbe Culinary Training within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Produces and prepares food for cafeteria, catering, chef stations, and patient tray line/room service.
• Adheres to menus, recipes, and portions and maintains quality and presentation.
• Maintains food safety, labeling, dating, and FIFO rotation.
• Operates kitchen equipment and assists/mentors staff to meet time constraints.
• Provides relief for other cook positions as needed.
