Qualifications

• A degree in culinary arts is preferred; extensive culinary experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 1–2 years of progressively responsible kitchen management experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports the recruitment, training, and ongoing development of a high-performing culinary team.
• Lead, coach, and inspire associates to exceed performance expectations and maintain a positive culture.
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback; communicate performance issues to leadership.
• Represent Sur La Table's brand by creating memorable, educational experiences for customers.
• Ensure an outstanding cooking class experience by following recipes and plans with accountability for quality.
• Lead classes and private events to increase foot traffic and engagement.
• Drive sales growth and analyze KPIs to optimize store performance.
• Maintain food safety standards, sanitation, and inventory controls.
